Shuttlecloud Data migration between Cloud Applications
With so many new Cloud applications it is very easy for users new to storage lots of data in the Cloud. But, what happen when you decide to change providers? ShuttleCloud is the answer. The company offers an online tool that clients can use to transfer data between Cloud applications. Services are currently available for Gmail, Yahoo, and any IMAP provider. Also, the company makes possible to transfer Google Docs, Contacts & Calendars and migrate entire Google Apps domains. But much more is coming soon.
The service is extremely reliable and fast. An exact estimate is difficult because of the many variables involved. However, the company has some of the fastest servers available and time is only limited by the bandwidth that the client’s email server allows. For Gmail and Google Apps accounts, a migration of a few thousand emails is typically complete in a few hours or less. Under ideal conditions ShuttleCloud transfers anywhere from 250-750 MB per hour. A migration of tens of thousands of messages my take less than a day and a migration of hundreds of thousands of messages usually requires a day or two to complete.
The company has been funded by Ron Conway, Highline Venture Partners and Techxios, a new micro-investments’ vehicle managed by Intelectium’s partners.
Recently, the company turned to Intelectium to help them set up and fund a new R&D center in Spain.
