The European Commission calls for aid for companies to fight against COVID-19

The aid provided by the institution amounts to 2.5 million euros

As a result of this chaotic situation that we are living in, the population, institutions and organizations are working to try to mitigate as much as possible the effects that the Coronavirus pandemic is already causing. The European Commission has opened an emergency call (the deadline ends today, March 18 at 17:00 Brussels time) to find technology companies that help combat COVID-19. The total budget of the grants is 164 million euros.

“Normally, these projects are between 500,000 and 2.5 million euros. Exceptionally, in this case they may be less than 500,000 euros and, in addition, projects that are of interest may be financed through other financial channels from the European Commission and external sources, such as additional funding from regional, national governments or private foundations” explains the general director of the Finnova Foundation, Juan Manuel Revuelta.
