Funding for startups and SMEs that create or develop a significant improvement of a production process, product or service in collaboration with State-wide Technology Centres.
The aid aims to promote R&D in projects that demonstrate a technological differential aspect over existing technologies in the market.
This is partially reimbursable aid with coverage of up to 85% of the total budget. This is a current loan with a non-refundable tranche (TNR), this tranche is comparable to a non-refundable grant.
Projects must have a participation of at least 10% of the approved project by one or more technology centers.
What type of projects is the aid intended for?
The aid is intended for individual research and business development projects. Projects must demonstrate a technological differential aspect over existing technologies in the market.
Which companies can be beneficiaries?
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-cap companies (MIDcaps) with tax address in Spain.
What percentage of participation should the technology center have in the project?
Projects must have a participation of at least 10% of the approved project by one or more technology centers.
What is the minimum amount that can be financed?
The minimum budget that can be financed by the CDTI Cervera Program is €175,000.
How long should the submitted project be?
The projects may last between 12 and 36 months.
How is the disbursement of aid?
By default, an advance payment of 35% of the amount granted is offered with a limit of 250,000 euros, and the rest of the Aid is disbursed in installments and depending on the milestones defined in the Project.
What expenses can be included in the budget?
The costs of personnel, instruments, material, research, knowledge and patents, consulting costs and equivalent services, and general project expenses.
External collaborations may not exceed 65% of the eligible budget in general. In pharmaceutical sector projects, these expenses may reach up to 80% of the eligible budget.
Projects that are beneficiaries of aid from the CDTI's Cervera Program have the possibility of obtaining a binding “ex ante” reasoned report after formalizing the Cervera loan. to qualify the nature of the project, allowing them to benefit from R&D tax deductions.
