Artificial Intelligence: Which Sectors Are Benefiting the Most?

Artificial Intelligence allows machines to imitate intelligent behaviors such as feeling, understanding, acting and learning.

La Artificial Intelligence (AI)is commonly known as intelligence carried out by machines. But it's much more than that, AI allows machines to be able to imitate intelligent behaviors such as feeling, understanding, acting and learning, actions that until now can only be developed from weak AIs, machines that are only capable of fulfilling a very limited set of tasks but that it is expected in the future that these machines can be strong AIs, being able to apply that intelligence to very different tasks.Currently, 32% of European startups use Artificial Intelligence solutions to improve their productivity And, if we add to this, that 74% of companies in the euro region have already started their journey to learn and use AI through pilot tests or basic solutions that are being deployed, we can begin to get a slight idea of the magnitude of the reach of this branch of informatics. According to a Microsoft Study, prepared by the international consultancy EY, which analyzes the adoption of AI in 15 European countries, the position of leadership of 6 sectors in the framework of the use of technology. These sectors are:- Services:The service sector uses AI to promote active listening to customer opinion, obtaining more precise tools and improving the allocation of resources and skills.- Technology and telecommunications:As far as the technology and telecommunications sector is concerned, they use AI to automate capabilities, predict customer loss, to be able to offer their content in Multidevice seamless. All of this results in a significant reduction in costs for the company.- Financial Services:In the financial sector, AI serves to provide the customer with a direct service of much higher quality, being faster and at a much lower cost.- Health Sciences:AI in the health sector allows a brutal acceleration in the discovery of new drugs, disease prediction, better diagnostic techniques, achieving an organized and accelerated transition to precision medicine.- Retail:For retail, AI is a perfect tool for personalizing offers and treating customers, for a more exhaustive control of stock and for monitoring the perception of the brand by customers.- Industry and Infrastructure:Within the industrial and infrastructure sector, AI represents a powerful technological improvement for equipment and a simplification of complex supply chains. In this context, the main objective of companies is to be digital and to be at the forefront of technological developments. Spanish companies are still 12 points below the European average in the deployment of AI-based solutions, but it is expected that in the near future the gap will narrow much more.
