Meet our startups: Bloome

Discover the Bloome project: A new model of aesthetic, non-invasive medicine that is becoming the benchmark for digitalization in the sector.

Bloome, based in Barcelona and only a year old, offers aesthetic medicine services for “health and prevention” and leaves behind retouching.

In today's article, we'll tell you what makes them special.

What is your business model?

Bloome has come to the market with a clear objective: to digitize the aesthetic medicine sector through the use of artificial intelligence and advanced technology to optimize processes and increase scalability. The team, which already has more than 15 employees, offers non-invasive aesthetic medicine treatments (which replace traditional plastic medicine treatments), affordable and without the need for surgery, through partner clinics across the country. With the average price of the treatments offered being 300€, Bloome has developed its own questionnaire and a facial scanner in its App to discover which treatment best suits your needs and which can be accessed from the company's own website.

Bloome's presence

Due to the greater awareness of self-care, a longer life expectancy, and the reduction of health problems, the demand in the non-invasive aesthetic medicine sector has been going through a period of growth for some years. In addition, the dissemination of this type of medicine, through social networks, is signifying a social normalization of this type of treatment.

All of this plays a fundamental role in the rapid evolution of the Bloome project. In April 2023, with only 9 months of activity, the company already had more than 1,000 active patients and a presence in Barcelona, Girona, Tarragona and Madrid. The Bloome team is working to expand its presence and close 2023 with clinics in Malaga, Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza, Murcia, Palma de Mallorca, Bilbao, Lérida and Lisbon, the latter being its first international opening.

Roadmap

The company's vision is clear: to become the digitalizing company in the aesthetic medicine sector. Artificial intelligence and its own technology also allow Bloome to increase the scalability of the business: Bloome has a facial scanner that allows them to perform treatments that are 100% personalized to the customer's needs and increase their effectiveness. In addition, it allows them to dispense with a physical space where they can carry out diagnostic visits. On the other hand, optimized processes and improved communication allow the care of a larger number of patients in a reduced time without having to significantly increase their medical staff or physical space.

In a sector where no relevant technological implementation has yet been made, the Bloome team is working on the development of diagnostic tools based on machine learning algorithms that can analyze large amounts of data to provide accurate and personalized recommendations for each patient. For now, Bloome customers can access hyaluronic acid, botox, peeling, facial hydration and mesotherapy treatments. The company's idea is to incorporate new treatments to be at the forefront of the most innovative options in non-invasive aesthetic medicine.

Bloome Funding

After a first registered capital increase of €300,000 in October 2022, the company has recently opened a new round through Dozen Investments. The objective is to carry out a new extension worth 700,000€ that will allow them to accelerate their plans for growth and technological development. Intelectium is working with Bloome on a request from Enisa to be able to leverage the inflow of private capital to the startup with public funds. The idea is to equalize private contribution with public funding so that the company has more working capital to be able to grow. In addition, Intelectium is also working on the request for a CDTI PID that will allow the company to finance part of its technological development, allowing them to increase the scalability of the project.
