New IVACE 2021 grants for Startups and SMEs with projects in Valencia

Are you a startup or SME based in Valencia? Do you have projects for sustainable mobility, energy efficiency in industry or energy efficiency in agricultural farms? Don't miss out on these new lines of IVACE aid!

GRANTS FOR SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY

Beneficiaries: Grants aimed at both public and private companies and entities.

Application Deadline: From July 29, 2021 to September 30, 2021.

Justification period: Until October 20, 2022.

Type of aid: Non-refundable grants of up to 50% for urban bicycle transport, urban and sustainable mobility, intelligent public transport systems, electric buses and trucks, and hydrogen charging stations.

Main objective of the sustainable mobility aid program: Reduction of energy consumption in the transport sector by encouraging the use of non-motorized means of transport and the promotion of new technologies capable of diversifying this consumption towards the use of alternative fuels that reduce the environmental impact of transport within the Valencian Community.

Financial actions for these grants:

Action T21B for projects to promote sustainable urban mobility.

This action is aimed at developing sustainable urban mobility pilots with the objective of reducing transport energy consumption and improving air quality in cities.

As an example, projects similar to the following would be included in this action:

  • Measures to promote pedestrian mobility and traffic pause such as pedestrianization of urban areas, establishment of tolls and active traffic restrictions in urban centers, etc.
  • Implementation of car-sharing systems for citizens in urban areas.
  • Shuttle bus services to industrial estates, areas of activity or transport nodes, transport on demand.
  • School paths.

Action T21C for the promotion of urban bicycle transport

Within this action, three types are differentiated:

  • Typology 1: Public bicycle lending systems. It consists of the design and implementation of the commissioning of bicycle systems for public use in municipalities and interurban centers, promoting the compatibility of bicycle systems for public use in the municipalities of the Community, creating supramunicipal services between those nearby localities in such a way that the different systems are integrated into a single loan system.
  • Type 2: Urban cycling routes. Execution of new cycling routes in urban and/or peri-urban areas, including the construction, conditioning or improvement of public space for cycling use and its complementary urban development works.
  • Type 3: Public parking and secure bike parks. Included in this action is the installation of public parking and secure bicycle systems that can be used by any citizen. These systems may be located on public roads or in vehicle parking areas, such as urban car parks, etc., but in any case they must be accessible from public roads by any citizen. The specific location of the system will be justified by its convenience in order to facilitate the use of bicycles for compulsory mobility.

Action T21E for sustainable urban logistics projects

This action is focused on supporting sustainable urban logistics projects that make it possible to manage loading and unloading in cities in a more sustainable way, thus rationalizing the process of distributing goods in urban centers, the so-called “last mile”, and significantly reducing the energy consumption of the process and improving air quality. As an example, projects such as the cargo-bike, new technologies to support the management of loading, unloading and urban distribution of goods, etc., would be included in this action.

Action T24B for intelligent urban public transport systems

This action aims to improve the participation of public and/or collective means of transport in urban mobility, through the introduction of intelligent systems that improve its efficiency and improve the management of public transport fleets, in order to reduce energy consumption in their operation and reduce polluting emissions. For example, this action would include traffic light prioritization projects, application of new information or ticketing technologies in public transport systems, passenger information systems, software/hardware related to route planning and control, itineraries and parameters in the driving of fleet vehicles, technological systems for improving fuel management, etc.

Action T27A for projects to purchase electric or alternative fuel vehicles

The purpose of the program is to promote the purchase of electric vehicles, with fuel cells, hybrid propulsion, powered by hydrogen by providing financial aid that reduces the extra cost of alternative vehicles compared to equivalent vehicles of traditional design and motorization.

It will fall within the object of the aid:

  • The purchase of new M2 and M3 category buses or coaches, electric, with hybrid propulsion, with fuel cells or powered by hydrogen, intended for urban public transport.
  • The purchase of new N2 and N3 category trucks, electric, with hybrid propulsion, with fuel cell or powered by hydrogen, intended for urban public service (collection of urban solid waste or similar).

The aid will also apply to the purchase of electric vehicles up to twelve months old from the first registration to the date of submission of the application, whose ownership must be held by the dealer, point of sale or manufacturer/importer of the vehicle that sells the vehicle to the beneficiary of the aid.

Action T29 for hydrogen recharging station projects

The purpose of the program is to promote the implementation of hydrogen recharging or filling stations, intended for general public service or for a specific fleet of public service vehicles.

GRANTS FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN INDUSTRY

Beneficiaries: Companies in the industrial sector that are considered SMEs or Large Companies in the Industrial Sector, whose CNAE 2009 CNAE is among those established in the call for grants (from 07 to 11, from 13 to 33 and from 35 to 39). The project subject to the grant must be carried out within the territory of the Valencian Community.

Application Deadline: From August 3, 2019 to June 30, 2023

Main objective of the energy efficiency aid program in the industry: The objective of these grants is to promote energy savings and efficiency in SMEs and large companies in the industrial sector, including the implementation of energy management systems, in the Valencian Community, thus encouraging the reduction of CO2 emissions and other polluting emissions, the improvement of air quality, energy savings and efficiency and respect for the environment.

Financial actions for grants:

  • Action 1 for projects to improve technology in industrial equipment and processes. Replacement of equipment and installations, as well as auxiliary systems that consume energy, with others that use highly energy efficient technologies or the best available technology in order to reduce final energy consumption and CO2 emissions from industrial facilities of companies whose CNAE 2009 is among those included in the call for grants.
  • Action 2 for projects to implement energy management systems. Implementation of energy management systems in order to reduce final energy consumption and CO2 emissions from industrial facilities of companies whose CNAE 2009 is among those included in the call for grants.

Type of help: The maximum amount of energy efficiency grants in industry will be, for each of the actions, the lowest of the following:
