Grants of between 400,000€ and 5 M€ with a maximum intensity depending on the type of project and the size of the company:

  1. Small Business: 45%
  2. Medium-sized company: 35%
  3. Other companies: 25%

• Experimental development with wide dissemination of results:
  1. Small Business: 60%
  2. Medium-sized company: 50%
  3. Other companies: 40%

• Experimental development in one of the least developed regions or in the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands:
  1. Small Business: 60%
  2. Medium-sized company: 50%
  3. Other companies: 40%

A mandatory first advance payment of 40% of the aid granted will be made (a guarantee is required).

Main requirements

• A maximum of 3 projects may be submitted per applicant and a maximum of 2 projects will be funded.
• Term of execution of the aid: from the request for the aid and up to 15 months after the resolution of the grant.

Grants with the objective of co-financing experimental projects that promote the adoption of Artificial Intelligence in the field of health

Type of eligible projects

‍

Experimentation in a real data environment of AI-based solutions that provide answers to use cases in areas such as:

• Prediction, Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment, Care and Follow-up
• Clinical, Biomedical and Pharmacological Research
• Management of healthcare systems
• Health emergency situations

‍

Projects must include among their objectives demonstration, validation or certification in a real data environment to verify the impact of the prototype of the product subject to the project.

‍

Intensive use of technologies associated with AI, such as machine learning technologies, deep learning or generative artificial intelligence, among others.

Type of help from REDIA Salud

‍

There is the option of financing through ICO-RED.ES ACELERA, a mechanism that covers up to 100% of the eligible budget (discounting the down payment) as a subsidised loan, although it also requires guarantees depending on the financial institution.
