The Government of Catalonia, through ACCIÓ, has opened a new call for grants aimed at Catalan SMEs to promote technological innovation as a path to transformation digital, technological or green of companies.

This line of aid is co-financed with the ERDF Program of Catalonia 2021-2027, within the framework of the political objective of promoting a more competitive and intelligent Europe.

Purpose of the aid

Promote applied technological innovation projects, with a medium or low technological risk, that promote the technological, digital or green transformation of Catalan SMEs, and that improve their competitiveness through the incorporation of advanced technologies.

‍

Beneficiaries

This help can be accessed by small and medium-sized businesses with operational headquarters in Catalonia and with a minimum of Two years of life the date of request.

• Limited Liability Company
  
  
• Limited company
  
  
• Labor society
  
  
• Cooperative society

Type of funding

Non-refundable grant, under competitive competition, with a maximum intensity of 40% of accepted eligible expenditure.

‍

Main requirements

• Technically feasible projects.
  
  
• Minimum eligible budget: 100,000€.
  
  
• The project must begin after the submission of the application and end in a Maximum term of 21 months.
  
  
• Activities to be carried out entirely in Catalonia.
  
  
• An extension of the execution period is not allowed.
  
  

Eligible expenses

They are considered direct costs of the project the following:

1. External collaborations and outsourcing

Up to a maximum of 70% of the total eligible expenditure:

• Specialized engineering or design services
  
• Laboratory tests and tests‍

2. Acquisition of equipment

Only assets are subsidized new and necessary for the execution of the project.

3. Software and licenses

Purchase of specific software or licenses for use for the development of the project.

Assessment Criteria

To access help, projects must obtain at least 250 points in total and exceed the following minimum scores per block:

• Block I (Innovation): minimum 100 points
  
  
• Block II (Execution): minimum 50 points
  
  
• Block III (Impact): minimum 100 points
  
  

Block I: Degree of innovation of the project (200 points)

• Objectives of the project
  
• Degree of innovation and technological differentiation
  

Block II: Implementation and Management Plan (100 points)

• Methodology and work plan
  
• Technical capacity of the company and collaborators
  
• Coherence and appropriateness of planned resources
  
  

Block III: Impact of the project (200 points)

• Potential to generate new business models
  
• Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  
• Alignment with the energy and climate transition
  
• Gender Perspective and Gap Reduction
