Intelectium Success Story: Multiplo Capital, the digital financial advisor democratizing wealth management in Spain

Meet the Spanish startup, regulated by the CNMV, that brings personalized wealth management advice to any saver

Multiplo Capital was founded with a clear objective: to make quality financial advice accessible to anyone with savings, not just high-net-worth individuals.

Until now, independent financial advice was reserved for those who could afford private banking fees or had assets exceeding one million euros. Most other people, however, have historically managed their assets through banking institutions with inherent conflicts of interest, where advice can be influenced by commercial incentives or a limited product offering.

Multiplo is transforming this reality with a radically different model. Through an affordable annual subscription, it provides clients with a certified personal financial advisor, asset aggregation technology, and a comprehensive, personalized financial plan tailored to their life goals: whether it's retirement, financial independence, funding children's education, or simply ensuring savings are well-invested.

The company, based in Madrid and authorized by the CNMV, combines the best of human advice with a digital platform that allows clients to have all their financial assets updated in one place: investments, savings accounts, deposits, pension plans, and any other financial asset. Everything integrated, everything visible, with an advisor who helps you interpret it and act accordingly.

Unlike traditional robo-advisors, which are limited to offering their own products within a closed range, Multiplo acts as a truly independent advisor, as it has no commercial agreements with any financial institution. This allows it to recommend the best products on the market without conflict of interest, along with support for executing recommendations when needed.

The service also includes proactive portfolio monitoring. A quarterly report with a video call ensures that each client understands how their assets are evolving in line with their objectives. Furthermore, if a relevant event occurs in the markets or concerning any of the client's assets, Multiplo proactively contacts them to explain it clearly and make adjustment recommendations.

Multiplo's client profile consists of individuals with financial assets starting from approximately €25,000, who acknowledge not having the time or knowledge necessary to manage their finances as well as they would like. The average client on the platform has around €200,000 in financial assets, with the most frequent amount being €70,000; however, they also work with assets exceeding one million euros with the same level of satisfaction.

Its advisory model is co-designed with AFI (Analistas Financieros Internacionales), Spain's leading financial consulting boutique, and its advisors hold CAF certification, in line with the demanding standards required by the CNMV. For asset aggregation, they use Wealthreader, which operates under a Bank of Spain license as an account information service provider.

Multiplo Capital's challenge: building the financial foundation for scaling

When Multiplo contacted Intelectium, the project had all the ingredients for growth: a differentiated business model, a team with solid experience in the financial sector, and a value proposition with real demand. What they needed was the right financial structure to support that growth.

As is common with many early-stage startups, operational pressure and a focus on product and customers leave little room for strategic financial planning. Multiplo needed a partner who understood their business, could translate their metrics into rigorous financial language, and help them make decisions with greater clarity.

The outcome

Multiplo has successfully established itself as one of the most compelling propositions in the Spanish WealthTech sector, with regulatory authorization from the CNMV, public funding from ENISA, and a growing customer base that has already achieved tangible results: latent capital gains in funds, tax optimizations, and liquidity returns for its users.

Intelectium's Fractional CFO service continues to support Multiplo in its day-to-day financial operations, freeing up the founding team's time for what matters most: growth and customer acquisition.
